Jasmin Allenspach

is an award-winning Swiss writer, educator, and theoretical physicist living in London. Speaking seven languages, she writes in English despite her mother tongue being Swiss German.Most recently, Jasmin's writing has been nominated for the Forward Prizes 2026, the most influential awards for new poetry in the UK, and recognised by the National Poetry Competition, Magma Poetry Competition, and the Platinum Poetry Prize at the Creative Future Writers’ Award. She is a Young Trustee of the London Library, where she was formerly an Emerging Writer, and a Barbican Young Poet. Performances include major arts venues such as Southbank Centre and Barbican Centre, as well as BBC Radio.With over a decade’s experience in education and community building, Jasmin runs the international writing talk series Peerclass and is currently launching the UK’s first collective for exophonic writers and researchers.Jasmin graduated top of her year with an MSc Physics from ETH Zurich, part of which she spent at Oxford. Her research seeks to unite the largest and smallest scales in our universe, not unlike her writing.When not dissecting sentences or equations, Jasmin trains in classical ballet.
